National Oral Health Month

Hudec Dental to offer 50% off Vizilite® Plus oral cancer screening during September.

Cleveland, OH (August 31, 2010) – Hudec Dental is a network of eleven neighborhood dental offices provided superior quality care to the Cleveland area for over thirty years. In dedicating a lifelong commitment to assisting individuals with all their dental healthcare needs, we are further reaching out to the community during the month of September.
In our continuing efforts to provide the most advanced technology and highest standard of care available to our patients, this practice is proud to announce the inclusion of the Vizilite® Plus exams as an integral part of our annual comprehensive oral screening program.

Clinical studies have determined that using Vizilite® Plus after the standard oral cancer examination improves the dental professional’s ability to identify and evaluate suspicious areas at their earliest stages. Early detection of pre-cancerous tissue can minimize or eliminate the potentially disfiguring effects of oral cancer and possibly save your life. Proven screening technologies such as mammogram, Pap smear, PSA and colonoscopy offer the same type of early detection of cancer. Vizilite® Plus is an easy and painless examination that gives this practice the best chance to find any oral abnormalities you may have at the earliest possible stage.

Oral cancer screenings will be 50% off during the month of September. It is our hope that we can further assist in cancer prevention and aid in the improvement of individuals throughout Northeastern Ohio.

In an effort to play our part in the fight against cancer, Hudec Dental offers oral screenings at all eleven of our locations. We have flexible hours to meet the needs of every individual. Hudec Dental prides itself on opening its doors to all patients, accepting a large variety of insurance and offering discount plans and financial assistance.

Please stop in today for your oral cancer screening! Appointments may be scheduled by reaching our patient care representatives at 216.661.8888. For more information visit Hudec Dental and the services provided, please visit hudecdental.com.

Back to School : A Trip to the Dentist

The $65 back to school special is available at all Hudec Dental locations.
More than half of the summer has already passed us by.  Soon lunches will need to be packed and yellow bus sightings will occur.  School clothes and supplies will need to be gathered.  Getting back into the school routine can be difficult and time consuming.  Something inevitably will be overlooked or forgotten.  A trip to the dentist should not be something that is forgotten.

A good education for their children is near the top of every parent’s wish list as is as good health for their children.  Now is the perfect time to pick up the phone and call the dentist to schedule a checkup appointment for your little one(s) before the days of school begin.  For before you know it your free time will be consumed with practices and lessons as well as everything else that normally consumes your days.

A trip to your dentist should not be a scary thing or a place of fear.  It is important for your children to gain exposure to their dental office to help educate them on proper oral health maintenance while allowing them to gain familiarity and comfort.  It is also very important for their overall health to see the dentist on a regular basis.  Routine visits will help keep your children healthy and minimize the impact of future problems from becoming big and expensive problems.

The beginning of school also marks the beginning of many organized sports activities.  It is essential that participants of contact sports have and wear a proper fitting mouth guard.  Mouth guards are also recommended for non-contact activities such as gymnastics and skating.  Your dentist can verify and provide you or your child with a proper fitting mouth guard.

Whether it is for a cleaning, toothache, checkup, mouth guard or something else, please take the time to visit your dentist before the summer passes you by.  It is important for your overall health to ask questions and become educated on maintaining proper oral health for you and your children.
