Back to School : A Trip to the Dentist

The $65 back to school special is available at all Hudec Dental locations.
More than half of the summer has already passed us by.  Soon lunches will need to be packed and yellow bus sightings will occur.  School clothes and supplies will need to be gathered.  Getting back into the school routine can be difficult and time consuming.  Something inevitably will be overlooked or forgotten.  A trip to the dentist should not be something that is forgotten.

A good education for their children is near the top of every parent’s wish list as is as good health for their children.  Now is the perfect time to pick up the phone and call the dentist to schedule a checkup appointment for your little one(s) before the days of school begin.  For before you know it your free time will be consumed with practices and lessons as well as everything else that normally consumes your days.

A trip to your dentist should not be a scary thing or a place of fear.  It is important for your children to gain exposure to their dental office to help educate them on proper oral health maintenance while allowing them to gain familiarity and comfort.  It is also very important for their overall health to see the dentist on a regular basis.  Routine visits will help keep your children healthy and minimize the impact of future problems from becoming big and expensive problems.

The beginning of school also marks the beginning of many organized sports activities.  It is essential that participants of contact sports have and wear a proper fitting mouth guard.  Mouth guards are also recommended for non-contact activities such as gymnastics and skating.  Your dentist can verify and provide you or your child with a proper fitting mouth guard.

Whether it is for a cleaning, toothache, checkup, mouth guard or something else, please take the time to visit your dentist before the summer passes you by.  It is important for your overall health to ask questions and become educated on maintaining proper oral health for you and your children.
